Luxury real estate company continues to expand its presence in the Southeast U.S.

Engel & Völkers today announced its newest South Carolina brokerage, marking the global brand’s fourth real estate shop in the state. Led by license partners Peter and Kimberly Wiebe, the newly established Engel & Völkers Charleston Mount Pleasant will specialize in serving real estate clients buying and selling homes in Charleston, Mount Pleasant and the Sea Islands.

“Charleston consistently ranks among the top places to live in the U.S. and internationally and has been an important market within our growth strategy,” said Anthony Hitt, President & CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “Peter and Kimberly have been tremendous assets to our brand for several years, and the fact that they value our tools, systems, global footprint and culture of professionalism is one of the most significant validators as they lead our growth in such an attractive area.”

Prior to opening their Charleston Mount Pleasant shop, Peter and Kimberly first joined Engel & Völkers as an advisor and manager, respectively, for Engel & Völkers Savannah. Before relocating to the Southeast, the Wiebes also owned an independent real estate brokerage in Indiana.

“It’s always been our desire to once again become brokerage owners, and there was no question after working within the Engel & Völkers network that this was the brand we wanted to stay with and help expand,” said Kimberly Wiebe. “With other major European companies laying down roots in the area and because of our international connections, Engel & Völkers is the real estate company this market needs.”

With 10 miles of uninterrupted beaches, classic Southern architecture, pleasant year-round weather and a noted local seafood scene, Charleston continues to attract primary and secondary-home buyers from around the world. As such, Engel & Völkers Charleston Mount Pleasant will service home buyers and sellers in the area, known for its vibrant local culture that includes a number of nationally recognized restaurants and bars; beautiful cathedrals; a professional ballet and symphony orchestra; and historic sites such as Fort Sumter, Rainbow Row and Market Square.

“When we first joined Engel & Völkers, our license partner Dicky Mopper told us we were going to love this brand,” said Peter Wiebe. “He was right. Engel & Völkers operates how we like to work, and we look forward to our new roles within the brand as we introduce a higher level of service to our advisors and our clients in this marketplace.”

Engel & Völkers operates a global network of brokerages in more than 30 countries spanning five continents. For more information, visit charlestonmountpleasant.evusa.com
